The National campaign committee for unorganized sector wokers report (Sep 2009) says that Tamil Nadu has over one lakh bonded labor working in rice mills, brick kilns, textile mills. They are mostly employed in Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Tiruppur, Theni, Villupuram,Nagapatinam districts.
